Canna tropicana leaves and ornamental sweet potato

A beautiful combination of plants, Canna Tropicana and ornamental sweet potato vine. On their own, these are beautiful plants, but together, they are just amazing. They are grown for their foliage, not their flowers, though both do flower. To encourage the best-looking growth, cut them back hard, and be sure to cut the blooms off as soon as they appear.

These plants appreciate fertilizer, and a trick that I use is the little houseplant fertilizer sticks, which I stick in at random around the plant, especially at their drip line (just away from their roots). Another post about the ornamental sweet potato vine is here.
